Bathroom questions
What's the difference between a wet room and a walk in shower?
A walk in shower has a low tray or a level shower area with a glass screen, inside a normal bathroom. In a wet room the whole room is the shower area: the floor slopes gently to a drain, and the floor and lower walls are fully waterproofed, so water can go anywhere without harm. Wet rooms suit small rooms and step free access. A walk in shower keeps the splashes in one place.
Do you fit bathrooms across Hertfordshire?
Yes. We're based in Letchworth Garden City and fit bathrooms in Letchworth, Hitchin, Baldock, the villages around them and further across the county. See the town links above for local projects.
Which shower suits a small bathroom?
In a compact room the shape of the enclosure matters most. A quadrant enclosure tucks into a corner and keeps the walkway clear, a single fixed glass panel keeps the room open, and in the smallest rooms a wet room layout removes the tray altogether. We'll show you each option in 3D at the design visit.
Can we see examples of your work?
Yes. Every project above is a real bathroom we've designed and fitted, with photos and the thinking behind each design. You can also see more on our Instagram, @jlpplumbing.
